JAVA - Editing files from a server

I was doing some researchs and I cannot found anything useful, so here it goes.

I'm trying to know how can I edit a SQLite file located in a remote server. I known everything that I can do offline, but I'm trying to do like a backup, or simply a cloud application with this kind of DB.

I hope you have understood my question.
