Android: How to instruct SQLite to ignore a member of the class(object) being inserted into the table

I have some members(relational data) in a class which are not to be inserted in the table. So I need a way to instruct SQLite to ignore these attributes when inserting into the table.

If this isn't possible, please let me know.
