Android get notified when media store image database gets updated

I am having a sqlite database which contains mainly two columns :- Uri and info. I want to update uri column of database from android content provide - media storage Image.

One way to do this is to update my database whenever user opens my application. But i want that my database gets updated in background whenever media storage database is updated.
