Is it efficient to save the contents of a Texbox to a SQLite DB or text file every time the TextChanged event is fired?

Is it efficient to save the contents of a Texbox to a SQLite DB or text file every time the TextChanged event is fired? Or does it make more sense to set up a timer to save the contents to the DB periodically (i.e., every 3 seconds or so)?

Or is there an even more efficient approach? Thanks.
