Using session with JavaScript and sqlite

I use in my project javascript with sqlite and it's my first time to program using sqlite, i'm familiar with php and I always do session to store user's username value in it. My problem is that I found there is no session in sqlite and i want a way to store user's username to use it in queries So i want to know if there is another way like session to do the same thing ?
