Display SQLite Browser contents

I'm new too Android Studio, and new to SQLite, so I've followed this article http://ift.tt/19PBhQ1 step by step, but I'm still confused on how I'm supposed to display the data in the database. I've made the database with SQLite Browser, put the file into the assets folder, and laid out the code in the DataBaseHelper class, but I'm still not sure how to retrieve the data from the database that I made and display it in say a text field. Sorry if this has been asked before.
