SQLite saves Julian datetime format

i have a sqlite table with one of the DateTime type column. This table is created by Azure Mobile service. My problem is that everytime i create a row through my windows store app it gets saved in Julian date format. I have not defined any format. however, it gets synched on azure properly. and when i try to read it, it gets converted to Julian format. Any pointers would help
