Need help creating ASP.NET RESTful API to use SQLite

Does anyone know (or can provide) a straight forward example on how to create an ASP.NET 5 RESTful Web API using SQLite to query a database.

I am ONLY looking to support GET commands (at this stage) as I don't want to POST any data back to the database. However, I do want the ability to query the database for specific criteria (eg. date ranges, email addresses, etc.)

I have tried following examples on creating RESTful APIs but I can't seem to work out how to migrate an existing SQLite database. I have managed to add the required framework, etc. but need some further help to link everything together.
