SQLITE Storing and Obtaining data from a simple database

Hi I am trying to create a simple SQLITE data base where I create I program to enter data into the database using PYTHON and I was also wonder in another program on python how would I be able to extract the data. Also, once the data has been extracted into the new program how would you clear the database so that when new data is entered into the first program the old data is deleted. So basically I want to be able to know how to enter data into an SQLITE database and how to set up a database and how to extract the same data into another program using the database
