java.sql.SQLException: [SQLITE_IOERR] Some kind of disk I/O error occurred (disk I/O error)

I'm trying to pull data from sqlite db sitting on a separate server. I get below exception:

java.sql.SQLException: [SQLITE_IOERR]  Some kind of disk I/O error occurred (disk I/O error)

I'm using Jaspersoft ireport to create a report. The issue here is when I test the connection using the datasource Jaspersoft ireport shows Connection successful. It's only when I try to create a report from the datasource it gives me above exception.

Any help/suggestion is appreciated. Stuck with this issue for too long.
