How can I build a database by using only SQLite with C/C++ language?

just to make it short I have been working with mySQL for a couple of years, so therefore I wanted to learn more about SQLite.

My question is: How can I build a database by using only SQLite with C/C++ language in linux OS?

The key problem here is that I wish to build and database, and from the information out there, it looks like I can use C/C++ language to achieve this goal.

Please help :)
