Table disappeare after create table and insert data

I am trying to create a table in existing database. The database already has a table. I enter BEGIN; and run script to create table and insert data and COMMIT; to finish. but After exiting sqlite3 and open database again, the table i have just created has disappeared. The existing table is still there. If you have any idea, I will appreciate very much.
