create FTS table with pre-populated SQLite

I have a sqlite db and Copying the assets folder in the app. do a search query in the database is very slow. 300000-line database.

I want to copy the data to the virtual table(FTS3).Does the search queries will be faster?. How do I do?

my databasehelper.java

this.myContext = context;
DB_PATH="/data/data/"+context.getPackageName()+"/"+"databases/";
}

}else{

this.getReadableDatabase();
