Loading one time data for Android app

I'm creating a ebook, where I have to dump data, and the readers can use offlien. Would have to have Search and quick links for chapters of the ebook. Though I understand that SQLite will be the beter option to store data and access as required, even in offline- would want to know the best design to load the data into SQLite for the first time and one time.
