checking a series ID from database in android

I am writing a program. In my database I have a field ID numbers from 1 to 100 have now if I remove my ID 30 and after a while I'd wanted a new value save the new value of 30 is stored in the ID number I'm not the ID number 101. Please tell the most optimal way. Thanks.....
