What is the Best Approach for Database Development Android

Thinking to develop an app that is basically an exam app. Users have to select the area and app will then show the questions related to that area. In my view it doesn't demand for internet access as validation and results could be made offline, however I do expect listen from you guys who are experts on mobile dev since Im pretty new on this what database approach should I use or if you have links with suggestions that would be also great.
