Where do I find my sqllite database in android marshmallow?

From googling, most folks say to look in /data/data/packagename/databases, however, on my Marshmallow phone, /data appears to be empty (or perhaps I'm not using the right permissions to see its' contents?). Either way, did this location change in marshmallow or do I need to do something special to see the contents of /data?
