Best Practice for localStorage in WEBAPP

I am working on a project that requires more than 5MB of storage that is allowed per origin in web browser. I am using ngStorage

Can anyone explain me best and efficient way of handling browser-storage ? I am getting response of 3-4 MB of data per APIs from server that I need to store all the time.

Also I have doubt is there a way that we can store data like mobile application store in Sqlite database or any other alternative?
