Eclipse: Android Sqlite data loss

I noticed that every time when I restart my system and run my app on Eclipse, the data stored in Sqlite is gone, and when I check the file explorer in the DDMS I see that my database file is there ..! Is this an error in my code or its just the emulator and the app gonna work fine in a real device?
