How to get a single item from SQLite matching the selected multiple items from a list in android(Symptom Checker)

I am developing an app in which there is a list view with check boxes(Symptom Checker) .I want to display a single item from the database ,having the selected items in one of its columns,in a new activity. If there are multiple items matching the selection all should be displayed. Anyone have any idea?
