What is the benefit of having both SQLite and MySQL on Android app

E.g. if I'm going to store register/login data in SQLite, and then sync SQLite on Android to MySQL database. What's the benefit of that?

I mean.. isn't better to store the data to MySQL database without having SQLite ?
