json parsing in service class and store in sqlite db

I would like to parse JSON data from web URI and store it in sqlite local db. but the process should be in Service call. And also parsing and storing to db should done with in each five minutes. on main activity i have a list view where I would like to parse stores data from sqlite db. Had researched a lot but didn't find any solution. Kindly give suggestion or a small tutorial so as i can go with my project further. This would be great in building knowledge for a beginner developer.
