How to add large objects (1GB+) to the SQLIte DB and display progress of this operation to the user?

I'm adding large objects into SQLite DB using SQLite.NET on Android.

I need to know how to control insert operation somehow to be able to show progress bar to the user.

My idea is to split this large file into the smaller chunks.
