Not close Cursor

I have Fragment with ListView, this is populate by CursorAdapter object, called mAdapter. mAdapter depends from Cursor that uses SQLliteopenHElper to make query from my DB. At first i used

startManangignCursor(cursor)

but one it's deprecated and two it closed my cursor and it caused error when i reopen activity.

My question is what happens if i don't use startManagingCursor and i don't close Cursor?

What's the best solution for my Problem?
