How to insert data into existing table in SQLite database in the asset folder

I have own my sqlite database which i place in the asset and i am able to read them, however when i try to insert, there is no record found in the sqlite database in the asset folder even though it pass through and tell me successfully inserted. I view the sqlite database using the SqliteBrowser

Does i need to put any db.execSQL in the onCreate in the DatabaseHelper?
