Should I support downgrade of sqlite database on Android app?

I am working on an app that has a local db which is synchronized periodically with a server. Is there any "real-life" scenario in which I should support the downgrade of the local db by overwriting onDowngrade method? From what I know it's not possible for an user to downgrade the app.
